I decided to make a thread for those who've went out and bought the DVD set to talk about what they like/dislike about the set.
First of all the 3-DVD packaging is great. Shoot To Thrill-Houston Summit is on their twice The tour intro films are kickass. Houston Summit is amazing, where do they get these from. Jleslie and all of us can Rock In Peace because of the fact that High Voltage KOP is on it.
The menus are interesting, and so is the way they tell you the date and venue of the footage.
I have a feeling we are lucky to have gotten this much considering the decay in master tapes, and incomplete videos that are out there.
In closing...KISS this.
PS: Ride On is in excellent condition, as it is the video screen footage and the audio is soundboard sourced.

Dude, Ride On is the top reason to get it. Number 2: Bon's stuff.

as soon as i read sanity had it out yesterday, i fucked off in a hurry to buy it. only watched disc 2 so far. I'm glad it has those live clips i had up on youtube, BIB/TNT (tokyo or wherever) and the Ballbreaker one (sydney) I don't think i've been disapointed in any of it yet, mostly cause i've had most of it for years, so it's good to have it in better quality then the shittier then this DVD's quality. I can see now why they chose the SUL DVD in Paris instead of ... fuck, i forget, where-ever ride on was... it might have been a bigger crowed, had Ride On and the fans where crazier, but the sound quality was not as good as the other show... but now good to have some decent footage of it on DVD. Only thing I am disappointed in, it goes from the FOTS album to Razors edge... no WMW, BUYV footage Fly on the wall is an underrated song that needs to be heard live in great quality to be appreciated for what a rockin song it is.... but i knew they weren't on it anyway, the track list was shown weeks ago.

Dude, Ride On is the top reason to get it. Number 2: Bon's stuff. And the Beavis & Butthead intro.

pretty much all the video's are good reasons to get it since they all are excellent quality, event the St Albans footage is excellent considering it's probably been rotting away the last 30 years...

I was just wondering, do the DVD's have LPCM sound ?

Yeah, which is better in my opinion that Dolby Digital, since DD compresses out certain frequencies, and this way you can rip it off the DVD to use as mp3s of higher quality.

I'm asking because I was wondering if the audio was lossless. If the sound is LPCM then i can make a lossless audio cd without any bad feelings.

Yeah, and Dolby Digital -> MP3 still means Lossy -> Lossy = Eventual Notice of Loss In Quality
LPCM -> WAV -> MP3 = Lossless -> Lossless -> Lossy = Higher Quality
