Quote from LookingGlass at mygnrforum.com: www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?showtopic=84137"Hello, I am deputy manager of HMV Guernsey, 2 hours ago I recieved a phone call from the manager (also a big GNR fan) telling me that we will be recieving a shipment of an album allegedly titled "Blue Tree's and Green Grass" by a band called Far Downs on Wednesday afternoon for a November 20th release. (More on this later)
This is a fairly large shipment we are recieving, ie it is the identical size shipment of the recent Girls Aloud Greatest Hits (sales are relative across seas folks, not to scare American fans). Not out of the ordinairy, but I know, as well as the next music fan does that no such band exists.
We believe that this is in fact Chinese Democracy and that the title is simply a smoke screen, our distributor can tell us no information other than the title and the pallets (containing both advertising stuff as well as the CD) cannot be opened until November 19th.
So if I'm wrong shoot me, if I'm right praise be to HMV."People on mygnr, Here Today..., and other various GNR forums have Googled "Far Downs" a billion times. There is NO information on this "band" that can be found. None on wikipedia, none on myspace, NOWHERE. Also, there was a pallet full of these albums. The last Rolling Stone album was only about 1/2 pallet per store. Very unlikely that an unknown band will ship twice as much as the Rolling Stones.

Sirius satellite radio DJs have been saying it will be dropped this Tuesday. Many sources have been saying it will still be this year, but ultimateguitar.com seems to think other wise (they also posted that the album would be released in February of 2005).
REMEMBER: AXL AND MERCK (GNR's manager) HAVE SAID COUNTLESS TIMES THAT IT WILL BE OUT THIS YEAR.
Also, I think the guy who posted the HMV rumor said it was a joke. Still under investigation.
I feel like it'll be like when they predict snow here. "Oh, and we're going to get 3 inches of snow tonight." I wake up the next morning, nothing. But I hope it will be like the time when they predicted 6 inches of snow and we got 22!!!!!!!!!

Hope they release the Album soon. Then I'm hoping for a Aussie tour in maybe FEB/MAR time.
Lucky! I wish we got snow here in Australia. We only get it high in the mountains. I guess the weather man stuffed up by saying that you'll get 6 and get 22! Big difference.

Well although we know this is fake, Axl has said its gonna be out this year, so at least we have that. But for some reason i have trouble fully trusting even him

Merck said that it might be a secret release with no promotion or announcement until the day it is released.
Newest rumor is for December 19th in the US.
