Well, it was only (supposedly) for Americans, but Dr Pepper will definitely have to eat their own words.

Ha...corporate America will still deliver on it's promises.
Nice to see that Geffen won't be the only ones losing money...(the album has cost a bunch to record, and it might wind up costing a lot for the free Doc's to be given out).

Nah, they're smart. Dr Pepper will make money from this in the long run.
So will Geffen with Chinese Democracy. It's a Best Buy exclusive. That means Best Buy has to purchase X number of albums in advance. Let's say it's 3 million. They buy them for $5-$6 a pop in bulk. That's $15 million dollars. Plenty of cash. Plus international sales which aren't exclusive. They will make money. Lots of money.

Yeah, the Dr Pepper thing would have been thought of way in advance. If anything they probably wanted GNR to release the album. They will probably end up using it as an ad slogan or something. "From the people that brought you Chinese Democracy.... Dr Pepper!"

That's only for the Australian iTunes store.
It's not on the American iTunes store.

I'm gonna take that as a friendly stab...
...but I do wish that iTunes didn't have the international division that it does.
The country setting should be for currency only.

Good. I wanted to see how your reacted lol.
I hate iTunes though, only good for maxed out CD covers. Well I don't hate iTunes itself, I think it's a wonderful program, just the store I hate. I've only bought a couple of things from there though because we got given vouchers last Christmas from my Uncle and Aunt.*Wierd*(They know I pirate!)

Yeah, I use iTunes itself for managing my iPod and my music collection.
I've only downloaded a few things from iTunes, mainly because I don't like the "mp4" format, I think it's dumb to use a format that is one step below "proprietary".
