Legendary Braves announcer Skip Caray, son of Harry Caray and father to Chip Caray, died today in his Atlanta home.
He went to take a nap and never woke up. (This has to be the most peaceful way to die, and one of my preferred methods)
One of his "gimmicks" was in the 90s, talking about the movie that was on after the game on TBS, and doing his own "traffic reports" by saying the roads were "hopelessly blocked."
He was also pulled from TBS (with Pete Van Wieren) for half a season for being too "homey".
I heard that in April, he said "If I go, I've lived a hell of a life."
Skip Caray will be missed by everyone who was a fan of his and the Braves.
