Make SURE that they're DVD-DLs. They are 8.5 GB. Normal DVDs are 4.7 GB.

8-10 I think.
No limit though! The guy just keeps making more and more DVD9s. He said he will be leaving the GNR community soon, so I doubt he'll be making any more. Just no more than 50 single layer DVDs sent to someone. I don't have that many!
Get on MSN sometime (if you can, there are a few MSN sites that are free where you can log in without downloading the program) and we'll chat about it.
Actually, I might have to change this.... maybe 3:2. PM or e-mail and we'll work something out. Larger amounts require more postage, etc. So it maybe be a bit extra.. haven't nailed out the details yet.

My guess is that 1 DL DVD-R would weigh more than 2 single layer DVD-Rs, or maybe about the same as 1 and a quarter SL DVD-Rs.

It's 1 BLANK DVD+DL for 2 BURNED DVDs.
And first you said it would weight MORE than 2 single layers, then you said it would weigh about 1 and 1/4 single layers.... are you talking about trading weight or actual pounds/ounces weight? They weight almost exactly the same (DLs are probably a few more grams).

I was talking about the weight difference influencing postage rates.

Yeah the weight wouldn't change unless you had like 2 or 3 DVD's.
