Sammy Hagar + Van Halen, isnt a bad combo. That is Van Halen he was the singer they hired therefore he was Van Halens front man, the musical style changed, but for many it was still enjoyable. If it wasnt, they wouldnt of sold any albulms or had radio hits with him... but guess what! they did. The only people who complain are the diehards. And the diehards arent whos making them a profit, its the mainstream audience who likes there pop hits etc... so really they dont care if diehards dislike it. Or if they think they "sold out" cause there still making money

but with David Lee Roth they had more success, you could see that they were getting somewhere. But Hagar had a couple of ok songs but with David Lee Roth, they had great albums, like there first one, it is the best one they have made. While with Hagar, there first album with him didn't do so well. I don't really care now who is the lead singer, I just want to see some Van Halen.

While we are on the subject of Sammy Hagar, two things, first, a question, how exactly is his last name pronounced, and two, a recent spotting, my mom had the TV on Food Network, and Hagar was on Emeril Live.

David is and will remain the singer of Van Halen for me, Sammy Hagar is a good singer but is it Showman like DLR?, it's a pity that they did not preserve him when they recorded two titles on Best Of I "Can' T Get That Stuff Anymore" and "Me Wise Magic", It was Van Halen such as it always was... with Magic Dave
