The American dollar is doing really poor at the moment. If it gets to about .95 we will buy about $2000 USD for when we go away. I think it's to do with wall street being closed more than expected lately. It's not that the US suck, they're just doing poor.

That and the fact that we have the Southern California wildfires, coupled with continued overdevelopment, and a drought in the Southeastern United States (including where I live). I've been here in Georgia for my whole life, and haven't heard of it being this bad.
Oh yeah, another thing, our economy sucks right now...what, with the toy recalls.

Oh yeah, but this time Bush is trying not to make the same mistakes Bush #1 made.
When 80s Bush went into Iraq, he left Hussein in office, and even left WMDs in Iraq with Hussein. Now this Bush has managed to get Hussein executed, and is even trying to help the Iraqis establish a democracy and a stable army.
But, I personally think a honorable exit would be to just say Iraq is in a civil war, and as you may know with civil wars, other countries can't interfere.

well yes they can. In this case Bush is dammed if he does and dammed if he doesn't. Leaving the war now is the worst possible thing the US can do. You have to look at the situation from both points of view. If the US leave now they will be deserting the Iraq people who need the help and fight off the rebels. The more and more time goes by the Iraq rebels will recruit more soldiers and make the situation even worse. It's simply digging the hole deeper. Civil war is exactly what it is. People killing their own kind. Other countries must step in because there is no Government to control it. I feel sorry for the US who in the beginning were only trying to help sort out a situation that was bigger than they thought and tried to stick with them even if the situation was that big.

Yeah, if only more people could see it like that.
Everyone seems to be all into "saving our soldiers" but realize what would happen if we had done that every other time, WWI and WWII would have been loads different.

I wonder, how grim is the comparison between the Euro and the USD and the AUD and the USD?
Cause the Can $ is more than a US $, the Euro (€) and the Aus. $ are bound to start looking good to Americans some day.

yeah I wasn't very impressed with DVD 2, not even done watching it yet and I do not intend on finishing it if it continues to be this bad. Agree again with no dissrespect to Brian, but a lot of it kinda sucked. Though the 1st disc absolutly ROCKED!!! Get it if you haven't.
P.S. If you have the bonus single disc and you don't want it, PM me.

It's just only good for the Greenback doing poorly. This happened a few years back when the Australian dollar nearly went neck and neck with the USD but it didn't last too long and it was only for a few days but we have stayed above the 90c mark for a while now now it looks promising for us, however, It has had an effect on out tourism economy because people are getting lesser rates for the AUD so people don't want to come here. It's good in my opinion cause we get less asians!!
