two members who arent even still in the band... At least give Michael Anthony some credit, He has been reported to have been in the band as early as 1972. I think spending 32 years in a band is enough to at least accept the award for them.

Im not discrediting him genius, im saying its sad that the bands so disfunctional that 2 techinally ex members have to acept awards for the Van Halen name, and that not a single "Van Halen" was present to acept the award

Yeah Micheal is a genius one of the best bass players around, I agree with SUA, the fouding members such as Alex and Eddie should have been there..

After hearing that Velvet Revolver refused to play Jump, and DLR not showing up because of that, I don't know what to think about VR and VH, maybe VR is a little stuck on a sound, but I bet if AC/DC recorded a song and someone wanted a keyboard part added just for a touch, they'd probably add it, since a lot of great rock songs have a keyboard, hell, even the Rolling Stones used one.
So Velvet Revolver refusing to plug in a keyboard is just bull.
and angusaholic, about Eddie not showing up, I know why he didn't, but at least the rest of the band could've showed up and made mention of him and possibly read a letter he could've wrote to the fans to explain about what's going on.

It wasn't that they refused it was that they didn't have the rehearsal time to do it.

He didn't show up because the whole band was arguing, basically he can't get along with Eddie

It wasn't that they refused it was that they didn't have the rehearsal time to do it. Didn't have the rehearsal time? That still sounds like bull to me, since all rehearsal is just running through the song a few times to make sure the band is on the right page, so that should've ran about 30 minutes. Now who doesn't have a half hour to practice a song with?
